Out of the eight total proposed buildings in MIF's development plan in Geneva township, there is one warehouse that would spell destruction for countless oak trees. Many of these oak trees are over 300 years old. We seek to bring this to MIF's attention, and open communication between residents, local government, and the developer.
The image below displays the footprints of each of the proposed warehouses. Warehouse 5 clearly overlaps with this historic section of the Big Woods in Geneva Township.

This development is currently in Kane County. Geneva City Council must approve annexation of this 211 acre parcel in order to provide access to city utilities. Upon annexation, MIF plans to request a variance from Geneva’s Tree Replacement Ordinance. See last bullet point: https://www.geneva.il.us/DocumentCenter/View/12245/Variance-Listpdf
